Youth Care Worker
Work Location: 1419 Veterans Memorial Parkway
Division/Department: St. Rita’s Teen Parent Services Transitional Housing
Reports to: St. Rita’s Supervisor and agency CEO
Full Time | Part Time | Non-Exempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Youth Care-Security Worker will provide supervision of youth in the shelter overseeing the personal care, safety, and conduct of the youth being housed. They will provide supervision and maintenance of the physical operation of the facility.
- Welcome youth into the facility, using a trauma informed approach to care, and crisis resolution techniques.
- Assist in keeping the facility clean and sanitary.
- Keep other staff members updated and informed of complex or potentially explosive situations involving youth in care.
- Organize and supervise planned reactional activities for the youth.
- Driving is a required part of the job.
- Create an environment where those of different ages, genders, sexual orientation, gender identity, races, and ethnicities work together.
- Participate in and attend scheduled training and staff meetings.
- Maintain complete and relevant records as required by the agency, licensing, and contracts.
- On-call shift coverage is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the agency and program administration.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is required
- Prior experience working with youth in an agency or group facility setting preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitive and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal state, and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Case Management Supervisor
Work Location: 1110 Howard
Division/Department: Innerlink Basic Center and Transitional Living Program
Reports to: Innerlink Division Director and agency CEO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Case Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and reviewing all aspects of case management for both Basic Center and TLP including assigning youth to the case managers, supporting the case managers, and ensuring all youth records are accurate, complete, and compliant with funding and licensing requirements. The Case Manager Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Division Director in supervising, evaluating, and supporting all youth care staff. The Case Manager Supervisor will oversee and review the case records for each youth receiving services. The case record review will include, but not be limited to, adequate background and treatment plans, youth and family’s progress at achieving established goals, record of involvement by other agencies, and follow-up and aftercare information. The Case Manager Supervisor will ensure all case files align with required formatting. The Case Manager Supervisor will serve as a resource person to schools, agencies, and community organizations. The Case Manager Supervisor is responsible for ensuring schools in all of the programs’ four county service areas have information on program services and are visited in-person by program staff at least quarterly. The Case Manager Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the MDHHS HMIS reports (call point and client point) and will serve as the CQI lead for MDHHS.

- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and materials.
- Assist in conducting staff evaluations.
- Assist in the hiring process for staff including reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and moving candidates to HR.
- Work with youth upon entering the facility, uncovering the nature and dynamics of the crisis situation and implementing prescribed intake procedures, and/or seeking the assistance of other community agencies to resolve the immediate crisis in the youth’s life.
- Participate in coordinating, developing, and implementing individual, family, and group therapy.
- Assist with grant writing.
- Create an inclusive environment where those of different ages, genders, sexual orientation, gender identity, races, and ethnicities work together, and adhere to cultural diversity guidelines.
- Be available on call for shift coverage as needed.
- Participate in and attend scheduled training and staff meetings.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Master’s degree in human behavioral science from an accredited college or university and 2 years of experience as a social worker.
- A bachelor’s degree in human behavioral science or another major with 25% of the credits in a human behavioral science from an accredited college or university and 4 years of experience as a social service worker.

Case Manager
Work Location: 1110 Howard

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Case Manager is responsible for addressing the daily needs of runaway and homeless youth in shelter care. They will provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed supportive services to youth and their family members to help them achieve permanent and safe housing stability and move toward self-sufficiency. In Basic Center, the primary focus is family reunification when possible. In TLP the primary focus is helping youth build the skills needed to live independently. The Case Manager is also responsible for engaging stakeholders through outreach, community education, and coordination of services with referring entities.
- Welcome youth into the facility, using a trauma informed approach to care, and crisis resolution techniques.
- Provide intake, assessment, and service care planning.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and materials.
- Keep other staff members updated and informed of complex or potentially explosive situations involving youth in care.
- Participate in individual, family, and group therapy modalities using strength-based and youth driven case management.
- Organize and supervise recreation, life skills, and other activities for the youth.
- Driving is a required part of the job.
- Create an inclusive environment where those of different ages, genders, sexual orientation, gender identity, races, and ethnicities work together, and adhere to cultural diversity guidelines.
- Participate in and attend scheduled trainings and staff meetings.
- Maintain complete and relevant records as required by the agency, licensing, and funders. This includes youth case records, homeless management information system database, crisis contacts, and other relevant records. The youth’s case records will include, but not be limited to: background information; diagnostic summary; establish goals and treatment plans and update plans as needed; record of involvement by other agencies; and follow-up information.
- On-call shift coverage is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the agency and program administration.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field as required by CCI and CPA licensing.
- Prior experience working with youth in an agency or group facility setting is preferred.
