Innerlink for Runaway and Homeless Youth

When youth are on the street, they are vulnerable to exploitation and victimization. We provide a safe and supportive shelter reuniting youth with their families.

Innerlink services

Available 24/7/365 for youth, teen parents and their kids in Saginaw, Midland, Gratiot and Tuscola counties:

  • Crisis hotline (989) 753-3431
  • Emergency shelter for teens ages 12-17, teen parents and their children
  • Long-term housing for young adults
  • Help answering the question “is Innerlink the right place for me”
  • Supportive services and follow-up
  • Keeping kids connected and on course with school and homework
  • Family reunification
  • Food
  • Transportation

Non-Residential Program

Innerlink maintains a non-residential program including community education and crisis intervention for runaway and homeless youth. We network effectively with other human service providers, emergency shelters, law enforcement, courts and health programs to assist in locating and making contact with youth needing services.

Program Goals

  • Divert kids from the juvenile justice system
  • Reunite families
  • Provide short-tern crisis case management
  • Link individuals and families with resources to help them become stronger and more self sufficient
  • Helping youth make a successful transition to adulthood
